Terms & Conditions

These terms cover the sessions you book with The Little Portrait Club (by Tegan Johnson T/A The Little White Studio) ("we", "us", "our") through this app, and the galleries we deliver. Please read them before you book — when you book, you're agreeing to them.

Your privacy is covered separately in our Privacy Policy.

Booking and payment

Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received. Until then, your place isn't held.

Prices are shown before you pay and include any extras you've selected. What you see at checkout is what you pay.

Payment is taken securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

If you book more than one session in the same arrival window, each is a separate session with its own place and its own gallery.

Your session

Please arrive within your arrival window so we can make the most of your time. If you're running late, get in touch as soon as you can — we'll do what we can, but a late arrival may shorten your session.

Sessions run to the length shown when you book.

We photograph children, and children have their own opinions about being photographed. We'll do everything we can to get a relaxed, natural result, but we can't guarantee any particular shot, expression or number of usable images.

If your child is unwell, please contact us to move your session rather than bringing them in.

Changing or cancelling

Each session type has its own cancellation and rescheduling window, shown when you book and on your booking page.

You can reschedule yourself in the app up until the rescheduling cutoff for your session.

Cancellations made within the allowed window are refunded automatically, according to the refund terms shown for that session. Outside that window, refunds are at our discretion.

If we have to cancel or move your session, we'll offer you the first available alternative or a full refund — your choice.

Your photos and gallery

Once your images are edited, we'll email you a link to your online gallery.

Your session includes a set number of favourites, shown when you book. You choose these from your gallery.

Additional favourites, or the whole session, can be purchased from your gallery. Where a limited-time price applies, the window is shown in the gallery.

Your gallery link is private. Anyone with access to it can view your gallery, so please only share it with people you're happy to see your photos.

We currently keep your galleries available indefinitely, and we'd like to keep it that way. If that ever changes we'll give you reasonable notice first. Even so, please download and back up your images rather than relying on us as your only copy.

Copyright and how images may be used

We retain copyright in all images we create. This is normal for photography and doesn't affect what you can do with them.

When you purchase images, you get a personal licence: print them, share them, and post them wherever you like, for personal use. Please don't sell them, license them to anyone else, or enter them into competitions as your own work.

Please don't apply your own filters or heavy edits to images and then publish them as our work. A crop to fit a profile picture is fine.

We'll only use your images on our website, social media, portfolio or marketing where you've given consent. Consent is recorded per session, so you can agree to one and not another, and you can withdraw it for future use at any time by contacting us.

Memberships

Memberships are billed monthly through Stripe and continue until you cancel.

Each month your membership adds credits to your account, as described on the plan you chose.

You can cancel at any time. Your membership runs to the end of the period you've already paid for, and we don't refund part-months.

Credits are ours to define: they have no cash value, can't be exchanged for cash, and where a credit type has an expiry it's shown against your balance.

Reward points and credits

Reward points are earned on what you actually pay by card, and only on the parts of a purchase that earn points.

Points and credits have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money.

If a purchase is refunded, any points earned on it are reversed.

We may change how points are earned or what they can be spent on. We won't take away points you've already earned without telling you.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid until the expiry date shown on the voucher.

Vouchers can be used towards the sessions or products they specify, aren't exchangeable for cash, and we can't replace them if the code is lost through misuse.

If a voucher covers only part of a booking, the balance is payable at checkout.

Your account

Your account is reached by a link sent to your email address rather than a password. Please keep access to that inbox secure.

Please give us accurate details — we use your email and mobile number to send booking confirmations, reminders and gallery links, and we can't be responsible for messages missed because the details were wrong.

You're responsible for what happens under your account.

Our responsibility to you

We'll carry out your session with reasonable care and skill.

In the unlikely event that something goes wrong — equipment failure, corrupted files, or images lost before delivery — our responsibility is limited to reshooting your session or refunding what you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Behaviour

We want the studio to be a good place for everyone, including our team and other families. We may end a session without refund if someone is abusive or behaves in a way that puts others at risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one in effect when you booked. The latest version is always on this page, with the effective date shown above.
